It is with profound sorrow and deep sadness that I announce the passing of Hon. Margaret Kawuki, a Nominated Member of the County Assembly of Taita Taveta under the Jubilee Party, who passed away this morning at Aga Khan Hospital, Mombasa, while undergoing treatment.
On behalf of the County Assembly of Taita Taveta, its Members and staff, I extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, relatives, friends, colleagues and all those who had the privilege of knowing and working with her.
Further information regarding funeral arrangements and related matters will be communicated in due course.
May her soul rest in eternal peace!

It is with deep shock and profound sorrow that the County Assembly of Taita Taveta announces the untimely demise of Mr. Brian Mark Mwandata, an employee of the County Assembly of Taita Taveta, who tragically lost his life early this morning, 1st November 2026, following a road traffic accident involving a motorcycle he was riding.
Until his demise, Brian served as a Serjeant at Arms Officer, discharging his duties with dedication, commitment and professionalism. His contribution to the institution will be fondly remembered.
On behalf of the County Assembly fraternity, I convey heartfelt condolences to Brian’s family, friends, colleagues and all who mourn his loss.
May the Almighty God grant the bereaved family strength, comfort and fortitude during this difficult time, and may Brian’s soul rest in eternal peace.
Funeral and burial arrangements will be communicated as soon as they become available.
