As we usher in the the year 2025, I, on behalf of all MCAs and staff of the County Assembly of Taita Taveta, extend my heartfelt wishes for a prosperous and fulfilling 2025 to all the people of Taita Taveta County and beyond.

In 2025, we commit to enhance service delivery to the Mwananchi, in order to realize sustainable development across our county for better socio-economic outcomes.

May this new year bring abundant blessings, peace, and progress to everyone in every corner of our beloved county and Country at large.

CALL FOR MEMORANDA

The County Assembly of Taita Taveta Committee on Budget, Finance and Appropriations is in the process of considering the proposed County Annual Development Plan (CADP) for F/Y 2025/26.

Members of the public are invited to send in written memoranda on the proposed CADP addressed to the Clerk to the County Assembly, P.O Box 1142, 80304, Wundanyi or emailed to clerk@taitatavetaassembly.go.ke to be received on or before Monday, 25th November, 2024, at 5:00 pm.

NOTICE OF SPECIAL SITTING

A special sitting of the County Assembly of Taita Taveta has been gazetted to take place on Friday 1st March, 2024 at 9:30 am at the County Assembly Chamber, Wundanyi, pursuant to the Taita Taveta County Assembly Standing Order no. 27 (1)-(4).

The purpose of the sitting is Laying of the Report of the Special Committee investigating the matter of removal of office by impeachment of the CECM for Lands, Physical Planning, Mining and Energy, Ms Elizabeth Mkongo.

Members of the public are hereby notified.

The County Assembly Taita Taveta congratulates officers from the Sergeant at Arms Department who successfully completed a rigorous two-week paramilitary training program at the NYS Paramilitary Academy, Gilgil, Nakuru County, held from 24th September 2023 to 6th October, 2023.Deputy Commandant of the NYS Paramilitary Academy, Madam Ann Njoroge, who was the guest of honor at the graduation ceremony, held on 6th October, 2023, thanked the Taita Taveta County Assembly for facilitating the training of its staff, adding that it is a show of commitment to professionalism, excellence, and improved service delivery to the Mwananchi. Madam Ann equally said that the training has helped to further inculcate values of self-discipline, loyalty, ethics, patriotism, and equipped them with valuable skills ready to serve the County Assembly of Taita Taveta and the country at large.Clerk of the County Assembly, CPA Gadiel Maganga, congratulated the officers for their achievement, stating that this took lots of dedication and self-discipline to seamlessly complete the training. The Clerk, who was represented by Chief Sergeant at Arms, James Mwang’ombe, also expressed his gratitude to the County Assembly Service Board, which is chaired by the Speaker, Hon. Wisdom Mwamburi, for ensuring that the training was a success. The Clerk appreciated the unwavering support by the Board which has remained committed to professional development of the County Assembly staff. Professional development, he further noted, is among the key tenets employed by the County Assembly of Taita Taveta, with a ripple effect in improving and streamlining service delivery to the people of the County. The Clerk urged the officers to ensure that the training reflects in their work, henceforth. The Chief Sergeant at Arms thanked Mr. James K. Tembur, Director General/CEO National Youth Service, Mr. Nicholas J. Makokha, Commandant NYS Paramilitary Academy, Gilgil and the whole NYS Community for according the officers of his department support to train at the facility.The paramilitary training at the NYS Academy in Gilgil is renowned for its tough and rigorous nature. The officers have demonstrated exceptional resilience in successfully completing it. From us at the Assembly, we say congratulations to our colleagues for this feat because β€œMbele iko sawa!”
