NOTICE TO NOMINEE AND THE PUBLIC OF NOMINATION AND APPROVAL HEARING

The Taita Taveta County Assembly has been notified by the County Governor of Taita Taveta of the nomination of Ms. Getrude Nginai Nawoti Shuwe for appointment as County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for the Department of Trade, Tourism, Cooperative Development and Industrialization vide a letter dated 10th November, 2023 referenced SF/GOV/TT/ST.7/VOL.4/118.

Consequently, pursuant to provisions of Article 179 (2) (b) of the Constitution of Kenya 2010; Section 7 of the Public Appointments (County Assembly Approval) Act, 2017 and in particular, the specific requirements of subsections (2), (4) and (5) and the County Assembly of Taita Taveta Standing Order 43(2), (3)and (6), the nominee is invited to appear before the County Assembly Committee on Appointments at the County Assembly Chambers for approval hearing on Tuesday 28th November, 2023 from 10:00 to 11: 00 am

Members of the public are invited to attend the Committee Sitting for approval hearing and/or submit any information or comments on the suitability or otherwise of the candidate.

Written submissions and evidence of the same may be made by way of sworn-in affidavit or Statement under Oath and sent or hand delivered to the Clerk, County Assembly of Taita Taveta, P.O. Box 1142 -80304, Wundanyi to be received on or before Monday 27th November, 2023 at 5:00 p.m.
