Acting Speaker of the County Assembly of Taita Taveta, Hon. Anselm Mwadime Chao, has been feted for his outstanding performance at the 2024 edition of the County Leadership Starleaders Awards by Politrack Africa Limited.
Speaker Chao adds to a raft of awards that he has received so far, with Saturday’s award recognizing his excellent leadership as among the best performing County Assembly Speakers in Kenya, having been ranked at number 4 countrywide, in his short stint of 4 months as Acting Speaker.
Speaker Anselm, having received the award, asserted that he doesn’t deem the award solely as his but as a reflection of the collective role and dedication of all leaders that he’s working with.
Hon. Anselm further dedicated the award to the whole County Assembly and the people of Taita Taveta while adding that this is a huge motivation towards relentlessly pursuing excellence in service delivery by the County Assembly and prioritizing the interests of the Wananchi.
The awards which celebrate excellence in County leadership were held at JW Marriott Hotel in Nairobi on Saturday, 2^nd November 2024.
Kasighau MCA and Deputy Minority Leader, Hon. Amos Makalo, and Mata MCA, Hon. Isaac Matolo were also recognized and awarded as among the 30 best performing elected MCAs in the Country, with the two ranking at number 19 and 15 respectively.
The elated recipients of the awards, Hon. Makalo and Hon. Matolo, said that the awards serve as a stimulus to further offer more excellent service to the Wananchi they represent and the whole County at large, while thanking all who have believed in their leadership.
The awards’ performance was measured and evaluated through public opinion research where the recipients have been awarded for their remarkable achievements in governance, policy innovation and sectoral development.
The awards further symbolize the awardees’ exceptional contribution to improving lives and transforming Communities.
