Minority Leader, Hon. Genard Mwandau, today during sitting No. 060 sought a statement from the Chairperson of the Environment, Natural Resources, Forestry, and Mining Committee regarding the equipping of staff and provision of protective gear.
Hon. Mwandau, who is also the Werugha Ward Member of the County Assembly, said that county employees at the Directorate of Environment and Civil Servants Union of Taita Taveta have been working without proper tools and protective gear, exposing them to potential injuries and illnesses and therefore so to know why the department in charge was not providing such essential gears.
